Card games are woven into Filipino culture — from the neighbourhood tong-its sessions to the hushed baccarat tables inside Manila's biggest casinos. At 99phl, we've brought all of that to your phone with live dealers, real-time action, and payouts that land in your GCash before you've finished celebrating.
If you grew up in the Philippines, card games are more than just entertainment — they're a social ritual. The sound of shuffling cards during a family reunion, the intense focus around a tong-its table at the neighbourhood store, the quiet strategy of a baccarat session — card games carry a lot of meaning for Filipino players. At 99phl, we've built a card games section that honours that tradition while making it accessible anywhere, anytime, on any device.
The card games library at 99phl is one of the most comprehensive available to Philippine players online. We cover all the classics — baccarat, blackjack, poker variants — alongside Filipino-specific titles like Pusoy, Tong-Its, and Lucky 9. Whether you want the fast pace of a live dealer baccarat table with real cards being dealt on camera, or a quiet solo session of video poker where you can take your time, 99phl has a format that fits your mood.
What separates 99phl from other platforms in the Philippines is the attention we've given to local preferences. Most international online casinos stock primarily European and American card games and treat Asian titles as an afterthought. At 99phl, Pusoy and Tong-Its sit alongside baccarat and blackjack as first-class citizens of the card games section — because that's what Filipino players actually want to play.
All card games at 99phl are accessible on mobile without any app download. The platform runs directly in your browser, loads quickly on Philippine mobile data, and adapts cleanly to any screen size. You can join a live baccarat table during your morning commute, squeeze in a few hands of blackjack during a lunch break, or settle in for a longer Pusoy session on a weekend evening — the platform keeps up with however you like to play.
Filipino card games deserve their own spotlight because they represent a genuinely distinct style of play that most international platforms don't cater to. 99phl has invested in making sure these titles are available and play correctly for Filipino players.
Pusoy (Filipino Poker): Also known as Chinese Poker, Pusoy involves splitting 13 cards into three separate hands — a back hand of five cards, a middle hand of five cards, and a front hand of three cards. The hands must be arranged in descending order of strength. It's a game of arrangement strategy as much as card luck, and Filipino players love it for exactly that depth. The 99phl version is faithful to the local rules most players grew up with.
Tong-Its: This three-player rummy-style game is one of the most widely played card games in the Philippines. Players draw and discard cards to form sets and runs, with the goal of emptying the hand or having the lowest deadwood count when the stock pile runs out. The 99phl Tong-Its version captures the same fast-paced, tactical feel as a real session played between friends.
Lucky 9: Think of it as a simplified baccarat where the closest hand to 9 wins. It's quick, easy to learn, and intensely popular at Filipino gatherings. 99phl runs Lucky 9 with live dealer versions so you get the social energy of a real game even when you're playing alone at home.
Pusoy, Tong-Its, Lucky 9 — proper Filipino rules, not watered-down versions. Play the games you actually grew up with at 99phl.

Ask any serious Filipino card player which casino game they reach for first and the answer is almost always baccarat. It's fast, the rules take about five minutes to learn, and the house edge on the Banker bet is just 1.06% — making it one of the fairest bets available in any card game. At 99phl, baccarat gets the attention it deserves with multiple live tables running around the clock and a full suite of digital table variants for solo play.
The live baccarat section at 99phl features classic baccarat, speed baccarat, no commission baccarat, and Dragon Tiger — all streaming in high-definition from professional casino studios. Bet sizes start from just ₱20, making it accessible to players of all budgets, with high-roller tables available for those who want to push the limits. The scoreboard (or bead road as regular baccarat players know it) is displayed alongside every live table so you can track the pattern of recent results before placing your bet.
One thing Filipino baccarat players at 99phl appreciate is the speed of play. A live baccarat round at 99phl completes in under a minute in standard mode — or just 27 seconds in Speed Baccarat. That means in a one-hour session you can play many more hands than you could at a physical casino table, where dealers and other players naturally slow the pace down.

House edge: 1.24%. Pays 1:1. Simple and popular — easier to follow for new baccarat players at 99phl.
Pays 8:1. House edge is higher but the payout makes occasional Tie bets attractive for speculative plays.
A little knowledge goes a long way. Here's what every card player should know before sitting down.

Unlike blackjack, there's no strategy that changes the outcome of a baccarat hand — the draw rules are fixed and the player makes no decisions during the hand. The strategy in baccarat is about which bet to place and how to manage your money.
